SPECIAL
THANKS TO the Whistle Stop and Norms for collecting bottle caps for the
Teddy Bear's St. Patrick's Day Jingle Sticks!!
THANKS
TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING OUR COLOR DAYS SUCH A SUCCESS!!
CONGRATULATIONS
TO the Waters family on
the birth of their new baby!
OUR
ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE was a huge success! We paraded around our
school, and although the weather was a bit nippy, the parade in NYC
couldn't hold a candle to Brewster Co-op! We were quite a
sight and sound with our hats and "hand made" instruments!
Thanks for all who helped march with us!!
PAJAMA/SLIPPER
DAY was a funny and relaxing day! We had fun bringing in
our favorite stuffed animal, enjoyed making and eating pancakes for snack,
and cuddled with our stuffed animal while watching the movie “Hop on
Pop!” Even the teachers wore their pj’s!!
The
Teddy Bears are working on learning sight words. We have already
introduced the following words: to, in, is, I, of, the, we. We also
continue working on our phone #'s, addresses and birthdays! Thanks
to you all for helping to reinforce these important concepts. Our next big
unit will be dinosaurs!
The Critters will be exploring the new spring season, while incorporating
nursery rhymes/fairy tales, and finishing up their senses unit.

SPRING
IS OFFICIALLY HERE and everyone is eagerly anticipating the nice, warm
weather! The children are getting a bit rambunctious and restless
--- helping parents beware!! Please remember that the teachers
greatly appreciate having a second pair of eyes and ears. If you see
trouble coming, please try to intervene BEFORE it actually occurs.
Don't hesitate to sit a child down or tell the teacher if they get
"out of hand." We really cannot watch all the children
alone, although we do try!!
PLEASE
DO NOT PARK behind the teacher's parking spaces. This spot is
reserved for handicapped, and we do have some handicapped families who
rely on that space. Thank you for your understanding and
cooperation. Another reminder: the spot just to the left of the
dumpster (#9) is a spot designated to a commuter. Please do not take
that spot, as he tends to get
extremely upset with me, (Robin!!)
REMINDER:
Please
remember that when it is your helping day to arrive by 9:10 AM or 12:25
PM…parents count on you to be outside to help with the drop off system.
Also, please note that school begins @ 9:15 and 12:30. Please do not
drop your child before 9:10 or 12:25. Thank you for your
understanding and help!
PLEASE
NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT DATES ON YOUR CALENDAR ---
