- the Fitzgerald family for donating pictures and VCR tapes!

- the Gaglio family for donating pictures!

-the Piscopo family for donating a real stove and a toy kitchen!

-the Molloy family for donating rubbing mats and memo pads!

-the Riccardi family for donating cars and trucks!

- Everyone who donated tissues to eliminate our “tissue issue!”

Welcome our new PM Critter:  Caleigh Emerson.

We also would like to welcome our new babies, Anthony Fila, Gabriel Rivera, and Jenna           McNamara!  Congratulations and blessings!

SPECIAL THANKS to all who donated food items for the needy.  St. Andrew's Food Pantry was most appreciative.

SPECIAL THANKS ALSO to all those parents who hung posters advertising our

Open House and Registration.  And THANKS to everyone for passing on a good word about our school!  We really appreciate the recommendations!

We will be hanging more posters in the future, so if you know of a good location for one, please let one of the teachers know!

KIM IS HERE!  We have a musician!  For those of you who have not met Kim Papa, she is a local musician who goes to preschools playing her guitar and singing songs with the children.  She is great, and the children and teachers love her!  Helping parents do, too!

PLEASE NOTE:

1-Teachers must be notified of helping parent changes!  If you switch your turn with another parent, just give a call or send in a note. If you cannot come in on your helping day and cannot switch with another parent, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to find a substitute from the bottom of the helping parent list.  If there is a problem, you MUST let the teacher know as soon as possible.  We cannot conduct a class with just the teacher present!

2-Only ONE item should be brought in for Show and Tell.  Putting the item in a bag or container, if possible, will help insure "secrecy". Also, perhaps you can help your child think of some "clues" to give the class-- we love to guess what's in the bag!

3-Please do not send birthday invitations in to school, unless there is one for each child-- most children are very aware of what everyone has in their mailboxes or what they take home.  If each child does not have the same thing in their box, some children feel left out.

4-Please do not stop your car or park on the entrance ramp to the parking lot.  If the lot is full, please wait on Oak Street for some of the cars to leave.  Parking on Main St. is also available for 5 cents /10 min.  Thank you.

We all know how curious and energetic preschoolers are-- they need a watchful eye.  Thanks to our helping parents for interacting with the children and for your continued support.  We need eyes in the back of our head as well as the front to keep up with these children!  Please remember we need the help of our parents in enforcing classroom rules, too!

HELPING PARENTS please remember to come to school ten minutes early so you may assist with the drop-off system.  Even though these cold winter mornings make us wish we could just stay in bed, we need your assistance during arrival time!  THANKS!

REGISTRATION for the next school year is going well.  Please let your friends know that they  may register now-- the earlier the better.  If they would like to visit us, just ask them to call.

THE WINTER MONTHS are rough on all of us!  Here in nursery school, we are planning various special events to help brighten the days.  If you or anyone you know has an interesting hobby, job, plays a musical instrument, etc., please let the teachers know!  In the past we have had programs on bread making, scuba diving, pizza making, a guitar sing-along, and even bagpipes.  We can use your support and imagination!!

PARENT BORROWING LIBRARY – there is a borrowing library for your use on the table to your left as you enter the foyer.  Please sign the sheet, enjoy the book, and return it when you’re through!
