All who helped us walk to the Southeast Museum!

PLEASE WELCOME TWO NEW AM TEDDY BEARS: Scotty and Erik Jacobsen

ONCE AGAIN, A BIG THANK YOU to all the parents who have helped throughout this school year and to those who will be helping for our remaining field trips and special activities... without your help we would have to "stay home"!!

THE DENTIST TRIP for the 3-year old classes was a big success! All of the children really enjoyed themselves and learned much about caring for their teeth and how the dentist helps. Some cavities and extra teeth were found, too!

OUR TRIP TO THE SOUTHEAST MUSEUM was fun and educational!  We learned all about toys as old as 200 years ago!  Some of our favorites included Jacob's Ladder, the Whirly Jig, and the Marble Run!  We also learned about how the Seamstress, Hornsmith, Blacksmith, and Carpenter made all of the toys for the children of that time period.  Did you know that the oldest toy was a top, which was made for adults, not children, and it was from Greece!! Thanks to our fundraisers for funding this trip!

HAT DAY was a great day!  It's always fun to dress up with a hat, whether it is a silly hat or a functional one - we learned a lot about people's occupations, based on whether they wear a hat or not!

THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT came to visit!  We reviewed about when to use 911, as well as who strangers are.  Some policemen ride on bicycles to enforce the law, and some ride in cars.   We also had our fingerprints taken.  The Sergeant added that it would not be a bad idea to cut a small lock of your child's hair and tape it to a page in the book for DNA purposes.

THE SPECIAL PERSON'S LUNCH will be held on May 17th.  Each child will be able to invite one special adult to have lunch here at school, which will be prepared by the children!  It doesn't have to be a parent.any adult is eligible!  Just a note:  we will be asking for two volunteers to help with the kitchen preparation, so please see your child's teacher if you can help us out!  Thanks!

TUITION PAYMENTS - - May 1st will be the last tuition payment due. (If you joined Brewster Co-op after Sept., your last payment will be due June 1st) Please be sure to make your payment on time. Even though this is the last payment, the money is needed for the successful completion of the current year.

OUR PARKING LOT gets quite busy at times, especially for the morning session. Please pick your child up as quickly as possible and do not remain in the parking lot if there are a lot of cars parked.  If we all work together to try to tolerate and respect each other, we can make this frustrating situation more bearable!!  Thanks for your efforts!

Shortly you will be receiving THE LAST HELPING PARENT CALENDARS! - It's hard to believe the end of school is so near. Many of you will soon be having your last turn at being helping parent. It's been a terrific year and we thank you all for your continued support! We are VERY grateful for all help and donations that we receive throughout out the year! This help adds to the enriched atmosphere we strive to provide, and what makes our CO-OP so unique!

FUN AHEAD!! From now to the end of the year is our busiest time of all and the most fun! Please read all notes so that you will know about our field trips and special days!

SPRING CONCERT - - On Tuesday, May 4th (for the Afternoon classes) and on Wednesday, May 5th  (for the Morning classes), we will be having our annual Spring Concerts. Everyone is welcome -- moms, dads, sisters, brothers, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, and friends!

Please bring the children to the classroom NO EARLIER than 6:45 PM but NO LATER than 7:00 PM. We plan to start promptly at 7:00 and be finished no later than 8:30 PM.
PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK IN THE CAR PARKED IN THE SPACE MARKED, "THOU SHALL NOT PARK HERE."  He is a commuter, and gets quite stressed when he cannot get
his vehicle out!! We will need volunteers to provide some home baked goodies for this special night. Look for a sign-up sheet soon in the front hall. Please do not bring any crumbly type cake or cup cakes, as they tend to get ground into the floor with so many feet moving about.  "Finger foods" seem to work the best!!  Once again, parking will be a problem. We suggest that you use Main Street, the town lot, or Garden Street School.
